Book Room

The Book Room is the top story of the Coffee Shop. Penguins can play Mancala here. There are couches, a bookshelf, a yellow sign that tells how to play Mancala, and the Library. You can also play Paint by Letters here.

Trivia:

• The Book Room is one of the oldest rooms in Club Penguin.
• The Book Room is one of the most popular places in Club Penguin.
• There is a large purple modern art sculpture called the “Book Room Ornament” in here. No one is sure how it got there.
• You can read books there, like The Journal of Captain Rockhopper.
• On June 20th, 2008 there was a earthquake in the whole Town Center and the book room got damaged too, many penguins think Herbert P. Bear was looking for something. There were cracks on the walls, books on the floor, the Mancala tables and game sets fell.
• The Book Room wasn’t in Penguin Chat 3.
• Mancala was at the Coffee Shop during the first beta testing day, and was moved to the Book Room after two days.
• On June 5, 2009, the Safari Hat Pin located here had a glitch. No one could pick it up. Later on it was fixed.
• The Book room is one of the minor rooms, and therefore is often not decorated. But it will decorcate in evey Anniversary Parties.

Parties:

• During the 2007 Summer Kickoff Party, the Straw 3000 was in the Book Room.
• During the 2008 Sub-Marine Party, the Book Room looked like an underwater building.
• During the 2008 April Fool’s Day Party, the entire Book Room looked like a poorly drawn crayon drawing.
• During the Penguin Games, a Mancala tournament between the Red and Blue teams was held here.
• During the Halloween Party 2008, the secret lab was located here. Click on the candle and you need a rad scientist costume available in the Penguin Style Catalog October ’08.
• In Christmas Party 2008, there were 3 Christmas books not located in the Library, but on a table. The books were “A Penguin Christmas Carol”, “Christmas on Rockhopper Island, and “Puffle Pal Adventures:Music Makes Magic”. They were removed when the Christmas party ended.
